Benefits of Self-Care In The Online World

Sifting through the plethora of noise and confusion during this time can take a toll on the body, mind, and spirit. We are living in a time when it’s more important than ever to be in touch with our center to help us navigate through these unchartered waters.

This is why I decided to dive into the world of online workshops and retreats to offer you opportunities to help you move through these times.

Here are 4 things that you can expect to receive from our online time together – whether it’s one on one or in a group setting:

1 – Connection

When you connect with others and can be heard and seen for who you are, deep healing can take place. When we are seen and heard for who we are, we can relax and let go of defensive tension which can take its toll on us. Connecting with others helps you to feel that you’re not alone.

2 – Self-Empowerment and Increased Confidence

When you take time to educate yourself about your body – how it moves, how it feels, how it hurts and how it heals – you give yourself an opportunity to claim a deeper connection with your body. You also give yourself access to the tools you need to help yourself feel better, especially during times when you’re in between sessions or unable to come in for a session.

When you empower yourself in this way, an increased sense of self-confidence becomes a bi-product, and when your confidence grows, your ability to flow with life’s challenges grows stronger as well.

2 – Immunity Boost

When we’re running on fear-based, stressed-out energy, an increase in cortisol (a hormone that can increase muscle tension, heart rate, and blood pressure) occurs in our system. This increase in cortisol adversely affects our body and decreases our immunity.

When you practice techniques to help lower stress, cortisol levels decrease and immunity increases. During our time together we’ll be practicing a number of body-centered techniques to calm ourselves in order to give our immunity a boost.

3 – Replenishing Reset

If you’ve felt frazzled during this time at home, our time together can act as a reset for you to journey into this next phase of the pandemic from a calmer place.
